What are the health benefits of deer velvet?
Deer velvet, one of the most valuable oriental medicinal herbs for more than 5,000 years, has been used as a superior oriental medicine to improve immunity, rejuvenate the body, enhance brain function, promote growth, prevent anaemia, and strengthen joints. Many studies show that deer velvet contains a fairly rich amino acid profile, immune factors, a wide variety of growth factors and free nucleic acid components, and lipids that are involved in cell signalling processes.
Energy & Recovery from Fatigue
Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) is the body’s primary “energy currency” and one of the most essential molecules for energy production. The bioactive compounds found in deer velvet, along with the amino acid arginine, help improve the efficiency of ATP production. Our deer velvet energy capsules are formulated with complementary ingredients to help support energy levels, vitality, and recovery from fatigue, enabling users to experience noticeable benefits during regular use.
The product is available in a range of delivery formats—such as liquids, powders, tablets, hard capsules, and soft gels—and packaging options, including bottle, sticks, pouch, sachets, and blisters, with customized dosages designed to ensure optimal intake and efficacy.
Available in bottles of 120 capsules (or customized quantities). Soft-gel capsule color and size may vary depending on shell materials, ingredient formulation, and customized fill capacity. The recommended daily intake is 2–4 capsules.
Deer velvet is remarkably rich in free amino acids. Among them, three essential amino acids (valine, leucine, and isoleucine) are used in our body to help make energy. Valine plays its role in muscle synthesis, and leucine can be important in the treatment of the metabolic syndrome. Isoleucine can boost energy and improve the immune system by assisting in the production of haemoglobin.
According to Deer Industry New Zealand's Technical Version 6.3 for Deer Velvet, the top part of fresh deer velvet, with branches removed, contains 3.5~5.5 mol/g valine concentration, 4.5~8.1 mol/mg leucine concentration, and 1.1~2.9 mol/mg isoleucine concentration. This indicates that it may contain approximately 1.5~2.5g of valine, 2~4g of leucine, and 0.5~1.0g of isoleucine based on 150g of dried deer velvet.
Deer velvets also contains various substances that can help with immunity and lifespan, among which phospholipids play a critical role in enhancing immunity and regulating ageing.
Multiple studies have identified phospholipids in deer velvet. Invermay Agricultural Center, located at Mosgiel in New Zealand, indicates the content of phospholipids is highest in the tip of deer velvet, and the upper part is higher compared with others in the deer velvet.
Our 150gm (approximately 20 servings) of velvet product for energy & immunity is formulated with:
- a water-soluble powder of activated substances, extracted from at least 150g of dried deer velvet,
- various plant-based extract powders to help with the enhancement of energy and immunity,
- more than 18g of valine, 7g of leucine, and 8g of isoleucine, along with various amounts of different amino acids, and
- at least 20g of phospholipids.
For your energy and immunity, it could be far more effective than just velvet.
